"I really do enjoy Hunt: Showdown, and..."
I really do enjoy Hunt: Showdown, and when it runs smoothly, it’s a blast. But what are you supposed to do when one match feels totally fine and the next has weird delays with shooting, opening doors, or reacting in fights?
It’s not like the game is unplayable, but the latency issues can get annoying, especially in the evenings when the servers seem less stable. How can a game this fun still be this frustrating sometimes? I’m still playing, but for now, 3 stars feels fair.

"Dev communication could be a lot clearer"
I do like Hunt, but the communication from the devs feels kind of frustrating sometimes. Updates and changes aren’t always explained very clearly, at least not from what I’ve seen, and when players bring up issues it can feel like we either get a vague response or just don’t hear much for a long time. I’m not saying they aren’t working hard, because I’m sure they are, but it’s hard to feel confident about where things are headed when the info feels so scattered. I just wish they’d be a bit more direct with the community

"Game feels way smoother now"
i was getting annoyed with the stutters before. The site/game info pointed me toward a few settings to tweak, and after messing with them a bit, Hunt started running a lot smoother on my PC.
It didn’t magically fix every tiny issue, but the random drops during fights are way less noticeable now. Overall, I’m happy with the difference.

"Fun, but I’m starting to feel worn out"
I’m still having a decent time with it, but the leveling definitely starts to feel slow after a while. It’s the kind of grind that makes me log in, do a few things, and then feel like I’m just checking boxes instead of actually progressing. Maybe I’m just a bit burned out on games that keep asking for more time, but the pace could really use a boost.

"Fun game, but the pricing feels rough"
I really do enjoy Hunt: Showdown, and I keep coming back because the actual game is tense and fun in a way most shooters aren’t. That said, I’ve started noticing the same pattern every time I log in: new skins, DLC, bundles, and prices that feel a little higher than they probably need to be.
To be fair, it doesn’t feel pay-to-win, which I appreciate. But after a while, it kind of gives the impression that longtime players are being nudged to spend more and more just to keep up with the cosmetic side of things. Still a great game, just wish the pricing felt a bit more reasonable...

"I’ve been playing Hunt for quite a while..."
I’ve been playing Hunt for quite a while now, and from my own experience the servers definitely feel better than they used to. Most of my matches load in without any issues, and I’m not getting kicked nearly as often anymore, which makes a big difference.
There’s still the occasional bit of rubberbanding, especially during peak hours. Every now and then my ping will spike for a minute, and yeah, it can be frustrating when it happens in the middle of a fight.

That said, overall it’s been stable for me lately. It’s not perfect, but compared to how it felt before, it’s a noticeable improvement and good enough that I’m still happy to keep playing...

"Perfect creepy swampy look"
I really like the vibe of this because it has that dark, muddy, kind of swampy look, but in a good way, if that makes sense. It doesn’t look messy like something went wrong, it looks intentionally grimy and creepy, like it belongs in a foggy swamp scene or some haunted outdoor setting. The colors feel dirty and shadowy without being too much, and that’s exactly what makes it work so well

"Fun DLC , but overpriced"
I liked it overall , but it feels a bit too expensive for what you actually get . I’d say it’s worth grabbing on sale instead ...

"Gunplay feels good, balance is mostly okay"
The guns feel nice to use, mostly. Like, nothing really felt super unfair to me most of the time, and the balance seems fine enough. Some stuff maybe could be adjusted, but overall it feels fair when shooting around.

"Tutorial threw off my plans"
The tutorial explains the basics well enough, but a few sections felt really rushed. I ended up having to stop and Google things just to keep up, which was annoying because I’d planned to finish it quickly and move on with my day. Instead, it kind of messed up my whole schedule.

"Pretty fair matches overall"
Most matches feel balanced. I usually get into games fast too. Every now and then, my team gets crushed by players who are clearly better. But overall, it’s been a decent experience.

"Honestly, the sound really pulls me in"
I was actually surprised by how good the audio is. The footsteps have this nice weight to them, and the monster sounds make everything feel way more tense. For me, it adds a lot to the atmosphere and makes the whole experience feel more immersive.

"Fun at first, but I’m close to moving on"
I had a good time with this game in the beginning, and some of the fights can actually get tense. But after a few hours, it started to feel really repetitive. Same maps, same routines, not much pulling me back in. It’s not a bad game at all, but if there’s not more variety added soon, I’ll probably just drop it and play something else

"Snap judgment: this event just didn’t..."
Snap judgment: this event just didn’t really do it for me. The idea itself was fine, but the grind got boring fast and the rewards didn’t feel worth the time. The servers were also acting up here and there, which made it even harder to stay interested. It wasn’t awful or anything, just not that fun this time around.

"The bosses and AI really keep you on your toes"
I’ve put a decent amount of time into Hunt Showdown, and the boss fights and AI are a big part of why it sticks with me. The bosses all have their own creepy vibe, and after a while you start using little mental shortcuts, like “don’t rush this one” or “clear the grunts first,” because even the regular AI can punish you fast if you get sloppy. It keeps matches tense without feeling cheap most of the time. It’s not flawless, but it adds a lot to the whole experience.

"Really fun maps to figure out"
I’ve been having a lot of fun learning the maps, honestly. The swamps and compounds feel really good, and there’s a bunch of sneaky little paths that make moving around more interesting. Some spots were kinda confusing at first, but eh, that’s fine once you get used to them

"I’ve been playing Hunt for a while..."
I’ve been playing Hunt for a while now, there’s just always some little thing to do. One night I’m messing around with different hunters, then I’m trying out a new weapon, then there’s an event going on, or I end up getting distracted by some challenge I didn’t even mean to focus on. The maps still keep me on my toes too. I don’t know, it just has enough variety that I never really feel like I’m doing the exact same thing every time. Really fun game.

"I do like the game and..."
I do like the game and I still play it often, but the updates can feel kind of slow sometimes. I mean, when fixes do show up they’re usually fine, actually, they’re usually solid, but I just wish there were more regular updates or quicker patches when something needs fixing. It’s not bad, but it’s not exactly amazing either

"Fun game, but the crashes kill the vibe"
When the game actually runs smoothly, I have a good time with it. But lately it crashes way too much, and the bugs can totally ruin matches. It’s especially annoying after updates because I get excited to play, then end up frustrated instead.

"I really do like Hunt Showdown, and when..."
I really do like Hunt Showdown, and when the matches are fair, it’s such a good time. But lately the anti-cheat situation has been wearing me down. I’ll have a few normal games, then suddenly get instantly headshot from some bizarre angle and just sit there feeling mentally drained.

I get that not every cracked player is cheating, and I’m not trying to call hacks every time I lose. But there’s enough suspicious stuff happening that it starts to take the fun out of it. Reporting people also feels pointless most of the time, like nothing really comes from it.

I’m giving it 2 stars because the actual game is still great and I want to keep enjoying it. It just feels like the cheating issue needs way more attention before it stops being so exhausting to play.
